Description

This position is responsible for developing a comprehensive program for the training of student-athletes to maximize their potential for athletic performance and injury prevention; collaborating with coaches and athletic trainers to organize and design strength, power, speed, agility, and flexibility programs for student-athletes; maintaining safety, hygiene, and efficiency of the weight facility; supervising individual and team workouts; displaying a positive attitude, demonstrating enthusiasm, providing positive energy, and communicating effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

Essential Job Duties

Teaching/Coaching (51%)

  • Develop and implement individualized strength & conditioning programs for student-athletes in assigned sports programs;
  • Implement all comprehensive programs and provide instructions to student-athletes;
  • Independently manage, supervise, and control the day-to-day operations of the weight room used by the sports programs assigned;
  • Supervise training sessions and teach proper lifting techniques;
  • Preform all warm-up and cool-down activities for student-athletes at games and practices;
