Saint Joseph's College of Maine is accepting applications for the position of  Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach!

The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach supports the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach & Strength & Conditioning department by providing excellent coaching to all Athletic teams; working closely with other professional staff members to ensure smooth function of the student-athlete’s needs; designing and programming strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams; assisting with items/tasks within the department.

Minimum Requirements: 

• A Bachelor’s degree or pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with an emphasis in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Physical Education
• At least one year of experience in positions involving the development and management of sport-specific individual and group strength and conditioning programs for men and women. Student-athlete experience, in any sport at the collegiate level, is preferred
• Current CPR/AED certification is required and must maintain certification
• A certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) is preferred

Scheduling Demands:

• Availability from August-May
• Evening hours are expected

• Full understanding and knowledge of proper, safe usage of gym and strength building equipment, including when equipment may be in need of service.
