Position Summary
The Track and Field full-time assistant is to work under the director of the Head Cross Country/Track and Field Coach to maintain and enhance the program’s success as a regional and National contender and to carry that success into the classroom and beyond. This position will assist in the overall programs which will include recruitment of qualified and gifted student-athletes, assist in fund-raising and retention of student-athletes. The emphasis for this position is multi-events.

Oversees recruitment and selection of 80+ student-athletes specifically for Track and Field; ensures compliance with NAIA recruiting rules and regulations; initiates process for determining academic eligibility with Track and Field Athletes. Works with Admissions to determine financial need and access to both need and merit based scholarships for Track and Field student-athletes.

Develops and implements strategies for motivating student athletes to perform at maximum levels as both individuals and a team. Oversees conditioning and training of team members in conjunction with Head Athletic Trainer to ensure that student athletes are physically prepared for competition.

Conducts fundraising activities for Track and field and assists with approved Departmental fundraising activities as requested.
