SUMMARY: The assistant volleyball coach will provide mentorship, instruction, motivation, and support to the Bob Jones University Volleyball Program. The goal and objective of the program is to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually strong women student-athletes, that teaches how to apply their gifts from God in a way that ministers to others and expands God's Kingdom. The program seeks academic excellence, athletic success, community engagement, and spiritual development from its members.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform job duties in accordance with Bob Jones University's vision, mission, and values in a way that contributes to the advancement of the overall Athletics Department success
Assist in administering a highly competitive program which includes organizing, supervising, and instructing players (per head coach) in volleyball techniques, and strategies
Assist in Christian discipleship with the student athletes
Specific responsibilities include designing and implementing training for a specialty sub-group
Must be able to drive school vehicles
Assists with the coaching and administrative duties and assists in the recruiting of good, fit student athletes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred
Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience
