Location:                   Mayville State University,  Mayville, ND 

Compensation:          Hiring Range:  $35,545 – $42,654 and will commensurate with level of experience

Position Information:  This position will have a dual role in assisting the Head Volleyball Coach in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, player development, game strategy, and administrative duties and also as a specialist in the Enrollment Center serving prospective students, parents, staff and others with information about the institution and its services. 

Assistant Volleyball Coach – Responsibilities and Duties:

• Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and player development
• Recruit and develop student-athletes at the collegiate level
• Game film analysis/breakdown
• Foster a diverse and inclusive team environment

Enrollment Specialist – Responsibilities and Duties:

• Represent MaSU to potential students and influencers
• Visit high schools, community colleges and other areas to speak with prospective students
• Conduct admissions workshops
• Provide tours of campus
• Participate in on- and off-campus recruitment events including open houses, job fairs and other special activities
• Serve as a conduit between recruitment and various academic and athletic units at MaSU
• Generate admission applications from prospective students and maintain encouraging engagement with them through the point of enrollment

Required Competencies:

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as necessary for games and recruiting
• Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and with students, faculty, staff, and community members with diverse backgrounds
• Organization and Time Management - able to plan, schedule, and organize tasks related to the job to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames
• Detail and customer service oriented
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in a related field
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office
