Description

Albion College welcomes applications for The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach supports the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in all aspects of coaching Albion College’s junior varsity and varsity women’s basketball team.  This includes (but not limited to) scheduling, conditioning, technique training and mental preparation. The Assistant coach will breakdown film on opponents and be able to provide scouting reports. There is opportunity to participate in alumni, promotional and public relations needs for the program. In addition, the position also works closely with Admissions in recruiting students.  This position will also have other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics that may include game management, student athlete welfare, or other functions necessary to ensure the management of a successful athletic department. Must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1 to 2 years of experience coaching at the varsity high school level or higher; or 4 to 5 years of combined experience as a NCAA basketball player or student manager and competitive coach 
• Must have a valid, or be eligible to obtain, a Michigan driver’s license, clearing initial and periodic driving record checks, and become an approved driver at the College.
