Position Summary
Valley City State University is searching for an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach.  The assistant coach, in conjunction with the head coach, is responsible for scheduling competitions and planning practices; recruiting, coaching, mentoring and retaining student athletes; arranging team and recruiting travel; supervising student coaches; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, and two years of collegiate coaching and/or four years of playing collegiate basketball.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree, accomplished coaching background, excellent communication skills; strong organizational and leadership skills; a demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain academically and athletically successful student-athletes; a commitment and history of integrating the student athlete into the campus community of a small college.

Compensation
$32,000-$35,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
