Job Description

The University of Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated and motivated full-time Assistant Coach to support the operations of its intercollegiate athletics program. Reporting directly to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach plays an integral role in the daily coaching, recruitment, and development of student-athletes, as well as in the administrative and operational functions of the program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to NCAA Division II standards, academic excellence, and the overall mission of UIndy Athletics. This position requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a passion for student-athlete development both in and out of the competitive
arena.
 

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
● Minimum of two years of experience in a coaching or teaching role/ prior knowledge in the respective sport as an athlete or other
● Demonstrated success in:
○ Recruiting student-athletes
○ Player development
○ Program organization

Skills & Abilities:
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
● Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations (or a willingness to learn)
