The Assistant Coach will assit the head coach in all phases of the hockey program. Assist in developing and coordinating a program in a highly competitive NCAA Division III environment. Major emphasis will be on recruiting, practice planning and implementation and video breakdown.

Responsibilities:

• Academic support, practice preparation, data entry and recruiting.
• Work with admissions and athletic recruiting coordinator to meet roster goals and field a competitive team.
• Abide by NCAA rules and regulations.
• Serve as a positive role model for all student-athletes.
• Develop and maintain good communication with team members; utilize effective motivational strategies.
• Cultivate good rapport with other campus and athletic services.

• Attend conference wide meetings, clinics, and workshops.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to demonstrate and teach ice hockey techniques, tactics, skills, and understand systems and game strategies.
• Ability to use video break down equipment including but not limited to: HUDL, Instat, IMovie, Livebarn, Hockey TV.
• Knowledge of NCAA and rules and regulations.
• Basic computer skills including google platforms.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as being able to supervise others.
• Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to approximately 25 lbs.)
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Preferred playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Valid Driver License.

Compensation: $10,000
