Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach
College of St. Scholastica, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) is seeking applications for a Women's Soccer Assistant Coach. Responsibilities of Assistant Coach will include, but are not limited to, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, on-field instruction for practice and games, travel management, on campus events, scouting opponents and game film preparation, camp organization and direction, along with other assigned duties. Successful candidates must have strong interpersonal communication skills, display an understanding of NCAA Division III rules and carry the ability to maintain professional conduct while acting as a role model for the student-athletes.
This is a ten-month salaried position reporting to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach. The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the women’s soccer program with focus on the retention and success of current student-athletes.
Major Responsibilities:
Recruit, retain a diverse group of student-athletes
Keep an organized document of all recruits and interactions
On-field instruction for individual workouts, practices and games
Opponent and self-scouting through Hudl and other platforms
Organization and direction of camps and clinics
Video breakdown for specific positions
Support student wellness- mental and physical strategies

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Valid driver’s license, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required,
One or more years coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level; collegiate playing and/or managerial experience is preferred but not required.
Extremely detail oriented- great at administrative tasks.
Strong organizational, writing, interpersonal, oral communication, and computer skills needed.
Knowledge and experience with video editing software, Adobe Photoshop and social media platforms.
Commitment to the student-athlete experience, passion for the game, and ability to coach and motivate.
Experience with goalkeepers (preferred)
