Job Description

Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach. This is a full time, 10-month reporting position with benefits. Under the general direction of the Head Women’s Soccer Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-III Women’s Soccer program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will work with the head coach to fulfill the following responsibilities: assisting the Head Coach with day
to day program operations, recruiting, planning and running practice sessions, and game day responsibilities. Prior collegiate coaching experience along with goalkeeping coaching is preferred. Additional responsibilities will be assigned in game management, facility overview, teaching, and / or administration.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide assistance to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
  • Prepare game film breakdown for team viewing; share video with NCAC teams in accordance with NCAC policy; if a film breakdown company is being utilized, work with them to fulfill program needs.
  • Assistance with the development and implementation training and workouts, practice and game-day coaching, including set-up and tear down of practice equipment.
  • Arrange accommodations for food and lodging for team travel, team events, and recruiting.
  • Recruit academically and athletically strong applicants for admission in the selective, highly competitive application pool at Kenyon College utilizing ARI software, including preparing promotional materials.
  • Plan and organize on-campus recruiting visits for student-athletes interested in women’s soccer.
  • Maintain excellent record keeping for all purchases and expenses for the program, to stay within the budget.
  • Inventory and safety check all uniforms and soccer-specific equipment.
  • Work in conjunction with athletic trainers to maintain student-athlete welfare.
  • Stay up-to-date with sport and coaching best practices in order to provide opportunities for all involved in the program to become students of the game by sharing knowledge of the sport.
