Doane University is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated coach to join Doane Athletics as an Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach. Fresh off winning the inaugural
GPAC
title and qualifying 11 wrestlers for the
NAIA
National Championship, our team is building something special, and we need an assistant coach who can help build on that success! As the Assistant Coach, you’ll work alongside our Head Coaches to refine skills, enhance techniques, and mentor our student-athletes, all while fostering a winning culture and inspiring the next generation of wrestlers.
In this role, you’ll assist with daily operations of the program, including practice planning, competition schedules, and travel coordination. Your support will be crucial in providing an exceptional experience for our student-athletes, helping to elevate both individual and team performance.

Salaried (Exempt)
Commensurate with experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience considered with previous experience playing or coaching at the collegiate or professional level.
Experience must demonstrate:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with athletes, parents, and fellow coaching staff.
The ability to effectively recruit and retain student-athletes
Strong organizational skills for planning and scheduling training sessions and competitions
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for developing athletes.
Ability to adapt coaching methods to accommodate athletes
Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive training environment.
The ability to represent Doane University in a positive and effective manner
Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the college’s automobile insurance provider
