Job Description:

The associate director for athletic communications serves as the primary media contact for women’s basketball, and also serves as the secondary media contact for football. The position also serves as the primary media contact for one fall and one spring sport, and assists with other sports as needed. The associate director has a supervisory role for student employees and interns, both in the office and at game events. The associate director assists with all areas of the office and acts as the chief officer of the athletic communications office in the event of the absence of the assistant athletic director of athletic media relations.

Job Description:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum five years experience in related communications field

Communication and other skills:
• Expertise required in desktop publishing (InDesign, PhotoShop), statistical programs (Genius Stats, Statcrew Systems) and website editing programs (Sidearm).
• High level of written and verbal proficiency is required.
• High level of social media expertise is required.
