Provide the strategic direction and oversight necessary to build and ignite the AAMU fan base.
Provide the strategic direction and oversight necessary to ensure amazing fan experiences.
Provide the leadership and oversight necessary to ensure a strong culture of extraordinary customer service throughout all departments.
Provide the leadership and oversight necessary to ensure effective collaboration and the integration of services among all external units, including the development office.
Develop comprehensive marketing plans for all AAMU teams.
Develop and implement season ticket, individual, and group sales campaigns.
Serve as the Athletics Department's brand steward and provide the strategic direction and leadership necessary to ensure adherence to brand standards.

Provide the leadership and oversight necessary to ensure a strong culture of extraordinary customer service throughout all departments.
Provide the leadership and oversight necessary to ensure effective collaboration and the integration of services among all external units, including the development office.
Develop comprehensive marketing plans for all AAMU teams.
Develop and implement season ticket, individual, and group sales campaigns.
Serve as the Athletics Department's brand steward and provide the strategic direction and leadership necessary to ensure adherence to brand standards.
Identify, adopt, and apply best practices in social, digital, and other emerging platforms necessary to tell the story of AAMU Athletics.
Provide the leadership, strategic direction, and oversight necessary to drive and increase corporate partnership, broadcast, and multimedia revenue streams.
Provide the leadership, strategic direction, and oversight necessary to drive and increase licensing, merchandising, and related revenue streams (in collaboration with the university's Office of Advancement, Marketing, and Strategic Partnerships).
Develop corporate partnership programs and personally lead sales initiatives or serve as the department liaison, collaborating with and providing oversight of the multimedia partner responsible for such programs.
Development:
Responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of current and prospective donors for annual fund, major gift and capital campaign purposes.
Responsible for managing a portfolio of donors and prospective donors.
Responsible for the development, organization and execution of select special events.
Program Administration:
Provide administrative support that facilitates the success of all sports.
Provide inspirational leadership that engenders the confidence, trust and success of direct-report head coaches.
Provide inspirational leadership that fosters an environment conducive to a positive student-athlete experience.
Work closely with each program to facilitate the successful adherence to budget and fundraising goals.
May monitor, assess, and make recommendations related to gender equity, diversity, student-athlete welfare, and Title IX compliance.
Other duties as assigned:
Represent and promote the university and the Department of Athletics at appropriate alumni, community, and university functions.
Serve on campus, NCAA, or SWAC committees when requested or appointed.
Represent AAMU at conferences and meetings when requested or appropriate.

Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
Bachelor's Degree required.
At least five years of related experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations is preferred.
Supplemental Information
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Availability to work long hours, nights, and weekends.
Willingness to travel to away contests, NCAA events, and SWAC meetings when appropriate and necessary.
