Reporting to the Deputy Athletics Director for External Operations & Chief Revenue Officer, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic marketing and ticket sales plans for GW Athletics, with a primary focus on the flagship men’s and women’s basketball programs. This individual will partner with all athletics’ external operations, including ticketing, communications, corporate partnerships, creative services, as well as university and community partners, to increase attendance, maximize revenues, deliver an outstanding game day experience, and enhance the brand of GW Athletics and the university.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
The position is based at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC, but will travel to and work at the Mount Vernon Campus and off-campus locations for athletic games and events as needed. The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 8 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 6 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
