The University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a full time Assistant Director, Marketing & Event Experience to work in Coral Gables.

The Assistant Director, Marketing & Event Experience is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive and strategic game presentation for Hurricanes Baseball and Women’s Basketball. This position will work with the Associate Director and Director of Event Experience to lead all phases of the game presentation plan including promotion, community events, game day atmosphere, etc.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute annual strategic game presentations plans for Hurricane athletic programs with a focus on increasing attendance and revenues (Baseball and Women’s Basketball)
  • Coordinate and execute game day atmosphere at various sport venues as the primary show caller for Hurricanes Baseball, Women’s Basketball and provide support as a field assistant for football. In charge of the script creation, selection of music, creation of public address announcements, scheduling of anthem singers and color guard, scoreboard announcements, pre-game/halftime entertainment, in-game features and promotions, and special recognitions.
  • In conjunction with video production and graphic design, assist with the creation of video board content creation for Hurricanes Baseball and Women’s Basketball. This includes but is not limited to; player video shoots, intro video shoots, walk up videos (if applicable), in-game sponsorship, in-game prompts & pump ups, and other in game features on the video board. This position will also be tasked with inputting and editing walk up music (Baseball).
  • Collaborate with the corporate sponsorship group to ideate and innovate new partnership elements to enhance the in-game and watch party experiences.
  • Assist with all department community events as they arise as well as supporting various athletic department Olympic Sports.
  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures for procurement of goods and services.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
