Athletic Trainer

Eastern Connecticut State University is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, 10-month position, reporting to the Director of Athletics.

The Athletic Trainer, under supervision of the Director of Athletics, is one of three full-time athletic trainers in the department. The position will cover practices and games, as well as assist in coverage of the athletic training room. Minimum travel is required, although night and weekend work will be expected as necessary.

The successful candidate will be part of a team providing essential medical coverage, as well as performing various administrative tasks which may include scheduling of coverage, budgeting, insurance, and pre-participation paperwork. Administrative tasks are divided among full-time athletic trainers. The athletic training personnel use Healthy Roster for medical record keeping.

Minimum Qualifications

*Master’s degree required

*State of Connecticut license or eligible

*Board of Certification (BOC) ATC Credential

*Proven ability to build strong relationships with student-athletes
