Organize, plan and perform Pre-Participation Physical Exams with Head AT, ABAC Health Center, local healthcare professionals, Georgia Sports Medicine providers and staff.
Proper referral to Georgia Sports Medicine or any other provider when necessary.
Assist with Emergency Action Plan and make sure all coaches and staff are familiar with course of action in case of emergency as well as what to do if AT/Medical Provider is not available.
Make decisions on weather and lightning safety. (WeatherBug app) - Proper use and initiation of concussion protocol.
Use of EMR system (PyraMed).
Be able to assist with insurance claims, make sure every athlete has the proper medical insurance per USG requirements, and comply with ABAC Secondary insurance policies (Mutual of Omaha).
