Job Summary:
The Athletics Content Creator will collaborate with the assistant athletic director for external operations and is responsible for leading the creative direction and content for OLLU Athletics video production and social media platforms.
Performance Evaluation Metrics:
10% increase in social media engagement year-over-year.
10% increase in fan attendance year-over-year.
10% increase in creative content output year-over-year.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Know and comply with the rules and regulations of the Red River Athletic Conference, the NAIA, and OLLU Policies, Procedures and Practices.
Develop and expand the athletics department's digital and social media footprint in communications, marketing, and promotions by producing various digital media content to include, but not limited to, game highlights, recruiting videos, feature videos, hype videos, pre- and post-game graphics, athletic and academic award graphics.
Cultivate and refine fan engagement through video production and digital media content for the Our Lady of the Lake's NAIA athletic programs.
Interview, highlight, and feature student-athletes, coaches, support staff, administration for content.
Serve as department photographer, including headshots/team photos, staged photos, action photos, recruiting photos, and facilities photos.
Produce content to be used in live streams for pre-game, post-game and other breaks.
Design and develop all video board content to be utilized on gamedays.
Collaborate with campus Marketing and Communications office to create and share content ideas as it relates to university recruitment.
Attend Athletic Department and campus meetings as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Engages and collaborates in fundraising efforts as coordinated by the athletic director and the advancement office.
Assists with special events and tournaments, championships, fundraisers, and/or clinics to include, but not limited to, one major fundraiser per year.
Attends staff development meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve performance.
Responsible for producing an annual report at the end of the season evaluating the program with recommendations for improvements.
Adheres to university policies, state and federal laws concerning Title IX, HIPPA and FERPA.
Other duties as assigned by the athletic directors.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in a collegiate athletic setting.
Display knowledge of various social media platforms to include but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and TikTok.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of all OLLU sports.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity and/or experience with the following: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, AfterEffects).
Interpersonal skills to support professional relationships with coaches, student-athletes, media, and the public.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments on campus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in digital content creation is required.
