• *Help setting up and storing equipment for sports programs practices.
• *Laundering of sports apparel and uniforms after practice and event.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• *Responsible for providing student-athletes equipment, supplies, and accessories as needed and ensures its worthiness to safeguard each individual by systematic maintenance and repair of equipment and supplies.
• *Responsible for training and supervising student-assistants ensuring the Equipment Room is clean and orderly.
• *Help setting up and storing equipment for sports programs practices.
• *Laundering of sports apparel and uniforms after practice and event.
• *Responsible for securing equipment room after normal working hours and events in the Stan Sheriff Center.
• *Drop off and pick-u of embellishment apparel items for each athletic team. 
• *Maintain a collaborative and positive working relationships with administrators, coaches, student-athletes, vendors, and other college offices, and appropriate relationships with members of the media, donors, and other individuals interested in the sports programs.
• *Maintains confidentiality to include but not limited to information, files and records that the incumbent may obtain or possess, in accordance with federal and state laws and University of Hawaii policies. 
• *Know, recognize, and comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University of Hawai‘i and its employees, and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and of the affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future.  Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if there is reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees, students, or others,  have occurred or will occur.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Some experience working in an collegiate athletic equipment room.

• Must be able to travel with the sports team(s) as required. 

• Possession of valid driver’s license.

• Ability to lift athletic equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work effectively and under pressure, with frequent interruptions, and remain flexible in handling several concurrent projects with competing deadlines. 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.  

• Genuine interest and passion for intercollegiate athletics.

• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.

• Demonstrate the ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range of problems that may commonly occur in a professional environment.

• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.

• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a time-sensitive environment.

• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
