Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Athletics department is hiring a Community Outreach Assistant! This role will support office operations Monday through Friday and assist with games and events during evenings and weekends. Responsibilities will include assisting in fulfilling any donation/community requests, setting up and running Chip’s Kids Club events, answering email/phone questions, stuffing packets, promoting Kids Club membership, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, this role will participate in various research projects, monitor and assist with updating the website, design and participate in brainstorming for events.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Provide office and game/event help.
• Assist us with managing kids club packaging, registration.
• Oversee the community outreach interns at sporting events.
• Complete administrative duties for our Read with the Buffs partners.

What You Should Know

• This is a temporary, part-time position working August 2024 - April 2025.
• This position will work a varied schedule with some 5-day weeks, some 3-day weeks, and weekends for games.

What We Can Offer

• The hourly rate for this part-time position is $18.00 per hour.

Benefits

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.

What You Will Need

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights or weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Competence with various software packages: Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.

What We Would Like You to Have

• Supervisory or management experience.
• One or more years of experience with an NCAA college athletic program, particularly previous experience with CU Boulder Athletics.
• Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as they pertain to content and communications.
• Knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 rules and regulations.
