Alabama State University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, invites applications for the position of Compliance Coordinator. The selected candidate will assist with all phases of administering a comprehensive NCAA Division I and Southwestern Athletic Conference rules compliance program.

Duties and responsibilities: - Monitor and ensure compliance through the use of Teamworks, Compliance + Recruiting, documentation review, audits and observation in the following areas: all facets of recruiting, athletics scholarships, athletics personnel, playing and practice seasons, awards, extra benefits, amateurism, eligibility, student-athlete employment, camps & clinics, Name Image and Likeness (NIL) via Icon Source and Influxr applications - Assist with continued development of ASU's compliance education program by producing compliance newsletters for the athletics department constituents, educational columns, and legislation as necessary - Disseminate NCAA interpretations - Present at compliance rules educations, sessions - Complete internal and external transfer requests, - Assist with rules interpretations, prepare waivers and rules violation investigations and reports as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4 year institution, demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and interpretations, as well as an understanding of the use of NCAA applications, e.g. Compliance Assistant, LSDBi, etc.) PeopleSoft, and other computer applications (e.g. word processing , spreadsheets, databases), effective communication, both written and verbal, a commitment to high ethical standards, and possess strong organizations, interpersonal and leadership skills required. Master's degree and 1 year of NCAA Division I compliance experience at an institution or conference office preferred.
