Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Deputy Athletics Director is responsible for coordinating external affairs for the Department of Athletics, including development, ticketing, marketing, revenue generation, and media relations. The primary emphasis of this role is on developing and cultivating staff and supporters for the athletic department, ensuring an engaged and supportive community. This position requires a strategic and collaborative leader who can effectively manage multiple external functions while fostering a positive environment for staff and athletes. The Deputy Athletics Director will also be instrumental in driving the department's mission and goals, enhancing its visibility and reputation, and securing necessary resources to support its programs and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred

Experience: Twelve years of experience in an intercollegiate athletics program is required, Division I NCAA experience is preferred

Job Duties:

• 40% - Supervise and coordinate all external aspects of the athletic department (development, ticketing, marketing, revenue, digital media, and broadcasting. - (Essential)
• 20% - Works closely with the Director of Athletics, coaches, athletics staff to develop strategies for program needs. - (Essential)
• 20% - Works closely with the Director of Athletics to evaluate coaches and sport programs within the department. - (Essential)
• 5% - Performs other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
• 15% - Supervisor for student athlete wellness. - (Essential)
