Position Description
Valley City State University is searching for a Director for Athletic Development & Game Day Management. This position has a crucial role in advancing the mission of the athletic department by leading fundraising initiatives, enhancing donor relations, and supporting the overall development strategy. This position collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance the visibility and support of the athletics program, ensuring sustainable growth and success. This position also works in conjunction with the VCSU Foundation and Alumni in planning fundraising priorities of the VCSU Athletic Department including identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding an active list of prospective individuals, institutional, and corporate donors. The director is also responsible for overseeing the management and coordination of game day operations and promotional activities of athletic events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in athletic administration, fundraising, or sports marketing.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree, extensive experience in fundraising, donor relations, and athletic program development. Established connections with athletic community for sponsorships and partnerships. Strong leadership, communication, financial management, and organizational skills.

Compensation
$55,000-$59,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
