Randolph-Macon College is currently seeking a professional, energetic and motivated self-starter for their Director of Athletic Communications. This individual will be responsible for all athletic media relations, social media, marketing, community relations and promotion for the college's 18 men's and women's varsity athletic teams.  

Responsibilities  

• Athletic publication production (design, writing, proofing, editing); 
• Maintaining online athletic photography image bank; 
• Maintaining files and records for all sports;
• Statistical collection, reporting and maintenance; 
• Maintenance and content management of the college’s athletic website; 
• Developing and managing an efficient student assistant program and press box management.  

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications or related field and at least two years of experience in the area of Athletic Communications.  
• Prefer candidates with football experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player; well organized, detail-oriented and an efficient project manager; have exceptional writing, communication and interpersonal skills;
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office & web editing software and possess a comprehensive knowledge of statistics for all RMC varsity sports, preferably those in NLS. 
• Should have knowledge and experience in video work, including highlight packages, feature stories and video streaming of live athletic events.
