This position will oversee all aspects of NCAA compliance operations, ensuring adherence to NCAA, Big South Conference, and University regulations. The Director will provide leadership, education, and support to coaches, staff, and student-athletes to maintain institutional control and uphold the highest standards of integrity within HPU Athletics. This position reports directly to the Deputy Athletic Director.

Experience and Training
Minimum one year of experience in NCAA compliance or a related area within intercollegiate athletics.

Understanding and appreciation of the mission of college athletics and the student-athlete experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Serves as the institutional authority on all NCAA compliance matters, ensuring adherence to NCAA, Big South Conference, A-10 Conference and University policies.
Coordinates all aspects of NCAA compliance operations, including but not limited to: recruiting, eligibility, financial aid, awards, playing and practice seasons, and amateurism.
Reviews and approves all recruiting activities and documentation within the compliance software system.
Oversees monitoring systems to ensure accurate and timely submission of NCAA and conference forms, reports, and waivers.
Develops and delivers comprehensive rules education programming for coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
Researches and interprets NCAA and Big South rules; prepares and submits waivers, interpretations, and violation reports as necessary.
Assists in the preparation of institutional responses to NCAA or conference inquiries.
Serves as liaison with NCAA, Big South, and A-10 Conference compliance offices.
Maintains accurate records, documentation, and reports related to all compliance activities.
Builds and sustains positive relationships with coaches, student-athletes, athletics administrators, and university staff.
Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with colleagues, campus partners, and external stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
