EMPLOYMENT TERMS: The Director of Equipment Operations, Athletics is responsible for the care and supervision of all equipment used by the athletics’ programs.

PRIMARY DUTY: The Director of Equipment Operations, Athletics is responsible for the care and supervision of all equipment used by the athletics’ programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor all activities of the equipment rooms including check in and check out of lockers, locks and sport specific equipment
• Assist with maintenance of equipment as needed
• Supervise student employees as assigned
• Assist with set up for home practice and competitive events as assigned
• Conduct and maintain inventories of equipment by sport
• Maintains safe and orderly equipment room environment
• Be responsible for daily laundry duties for all sports
• Assist in ordering equipment for specific sports as assigned
• Supervise locker room areas as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma
Skills: Human relations’ skills; ability to work with a wide range of people and personalities

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work hours will be random and flexible according to the needs of the athletic programs. Nights, weekends, and holidays will be required as necessary. This position must purchase and maintain a cellular device and service that will be used for work functions. This position must be responsible for plan choices, calling areas, service features, terminations clauses, and paying for all charges associated with the cellular device and service. This position is identified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). The CSA will attend required CSA training and is an official of the University who has significant responsibility for students and campus activities and the authority to take action for the University.

Supervision of student employees

EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED: Equipment related to the 16 intercollegiate sports sponsored by Northwest Missouri State University
