JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee the operation of the Sports Camp Office. Successful candidate will manage all aspects of the Sports Camp operation adhering to the highest levels of morality, ethics, legalities, and safety. Other duties include: supervisor of Sports Camp Office staff; ensure compliance over all youth programs in ICA; develop and implement a plan for the effective coordination of all activities related to program marketing, scheduling, venues and storage, and staffing - including coaches, referees and medical staff; purchase of equipment, supplies, t-shirts, insurance; residence hall and dining contracts; parking and transportation; registration; services and amenities to coaches; communications with students and parents; and maintain strong professional relationships with coaches, student-athletes, numerous campus units/staff, external suppliers, and vendors. Create, monitor and finalize individual program budgets. Supervise and direct the efforts of camp support staff.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree plus four years of work related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Division One NCAA Athletic Program experience is strongly preferred.
This position requires strict adherence to NCAA, Big Ten and Penn State rules and policies.
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to applicable background checks.
