Characteristics of Job:
The Director of Sports Broadcasting will be responsible for all aspects of media and broadcasting relating to the college’s 23
intercollegiate sports programs. The Director, which reports directly to the Director of Athletics, will work in collaboration
with the coaching staff and the Director of Athletics in order to develop a broadcasting program and facilitate activities that
will promote both the student-athletes and the sports programs at Union College within the philosophy and guidelines set
forth by Union College, the NAIA, the Mid-South Conference and the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

Union College Athletics sporting events on www.ucbulldogs.com through the use of Stretch Internet.
interviews, coach’s shows and all other broadcasts related to the Union College Department of Athletics.
6. Update and maintain all areas of the Department of Athletics Bulldog Sports Network page on the department
website.
fundraising events hosted by Union College Athletics. Also will assist in contacting and developing new corporate
sponsorships within the Department of Athletics and/or Bulldog Club membership initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, Master’s degree preferred.
Valid Driver’s License
Position requires excellent verbal skills; previous sports broadcasting experience preferred.
Position requires excellent computer and organizational skills in addition to a strong knowledge of use of broadcast
media equipment.
Position requires excellent critical thinking skills in order to ascertain needs and develop programs and strategies to
enhance the Sports Broadcasting area.
A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept and a working knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations is
required.
