| Required Qualifications |
- High school diploma or equivalent
- (2) years of athletic experience.
OR any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Community College experience

| Essential Duties |
- Game day set-up (field and gym) for all home football games and basketball contests.
- Game day set-up and equipment management (ie helmet and shoulder pad repair)
- Expected to be at all home football games and selected away games for equipment setup, repair, and monitoring during game time.
- Must be available for assigned fall sports home contests
- Music sound system set-up and testing – makes sure all equipment is in working order and ready for home contests
- Tear down at home contests and clean-up
- Works closely with maintenance regarding field mowing and lining as well as bathroom management
- Assists with laundry
- Gym floor cleaning and maintenance
- Coordinates and assists athletic training staff with game day set-up and needs such as water, tables, chairs, etc.
- Coordinates with coaching staff regarding food orders and delivery for away contests (primarily football – this position will coordinate – pick up – and deliver food for the team on away contests.
- Assist with transporting teams for road games (driving vans) when needed (usually emergency situations or short notice needs)
- Responsible for the procurement, organization, maintenance, and distribution of athletic equipment for the department.
- Inventory management (maintenance and repair of equipment) inventory and repair of uniforms – works with athletic department staff regarding uniform protection and needs
- Communication: works closely with coaches, maintenance staff, and athletic administration regarding schedules, needs, facilities, visiting team assistance, and officials.
- Assists with officials on game day for all sports. Meeting officials when they arrive, transporting officials to facilities, assisting at half-time and providing food when required (ie home football and post season volleyball)
- Assists with travel coordination – packing and preparing equipment as well as travel planning and arrangements (leave times and communication with maintenance regarding van preparation, status, departures and arrivals)
- Assists with visiting teams, rooms, locker, shower and needs (such as shoot arounds, extra chairs, power or camera requirements and needs)
- Assists with coordination of equipment purchases and repairs for the weight room, gymnasium, and athletic fields.
- May assist with outdoor field maintenance when needed
- Coordinates/works with student workers in the department in relation to cleaning, game day operations, and laundry.
- Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance and/or arranges for repairs of equipment maintenance machines.
- Travels to athletic games as assigned to perform equipment maintenance responsibilities.
- Prepares equipment for distribution by labeling and tracking equipment.
- Assists with fitting athletic equipment to individual athletes.
- Stores and packs sporting equipment appropriately when not in use
