KEY RESPONSBILITIES

Reporting to the Athletic Administration, the Facility Manager will discharge the following responsibilities:

Have primary responsibility for staffing and supervising athletic facilities.
Serve as a point of contact for facility users
Provide excellent customer service to facility users
Handle emergent situations in accordance with the emergency action plan.
Provide setup and teardown for scheduled events, as needed.
Assist with maintenance of equipment, especially rink equipment.
Manage the skate room.
Be in attendance, and serve as point person for Fredonia State Athletics Ice Hockey games.
Serve as point person for rink usage and scheduling.
Assist with coordination of summer recreation schedules and rentals.
Assist with Fitness Center coverage, as needed.
Assist with management of the building schedule (BOSS and EMS).
Perform general oversight of athletic facilities during normal working hours.
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Ability to work a flexible schedule.
High level of motivation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and constituents in support of campus and department mission.
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification, or ability to obtain
Valid state driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with facilities management.
Familiarity with ice rink operations.
Knowledge of ice sports and programming.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time, term appointed, UUP represented position with a NYS title of Staff Assistant (SL2), beginning January 2, 2025, with a salary of $49,261.
