This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Football Academic Support Intern position for the Academics for Student Athletes at Oregon State University (OSU).This is a paid, 20-hour/week internship. Pay begins at $15.90 and the position can extend through Spring 2024 if desired. The intern will assist the Football Academic Counselor(s) with essential day-to-day operations of academic support programming.
Assist Football Counselor(s) with day-to-day football academic support programming. Communicate with Football Counselor(s) regularly and proactively to address student concerns. Lead weekly or biweekly 1:1 meetings with 3-5 assigned student-athletes to help them build time management, organizational, and study strategies. Support student-athlete course registration by assisting with scheduling and tracking advising appointments. Update TeamWorks, a scheduling platform for football student-athletes Schedule tutoring sessions through GradesFirst for content-specific academic support Uphold a high standard of academic integrity. Abide by FERPA, NCAA, and ASA policies regarding confidentiality and professional distance. Other duties as assigned.

A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Graduate Student on Corvallis Campus – strongly preferred Prior experience mentoring or tutoring college students Experience working with diverse populations Interest in college student support or sports management
