Basic Function:

Serves as an intern for Football. performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Senior Director of Athletics.

Reports to: Head Football Coach/Senior Director of Athletics

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coaches a specific assigned position.
2. Actively recruits new students from a specific assigned area.
3. Maintains all requested charts, statistics, film breakdown, practice planning, etc.
4. Works with Athletic Training staff concerning medical room operations, health services, exams, referrals, etc.
5. Assists head coach in overseeing the study table and weight room.
6. Maintains awareness of and follows all NCAA and college rules.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

2. Exhibits necessary level of knowledge and expertise and has an appreciation for confidentiality.

4. Strives for excellence in performance of responsibilities and in meeting needs of clients/students served.
5. Knows and observes college and departmental policies, guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Related Bachelor's degree, plus any related coaching experience or equivalent.
2. Evidence of excellent coaching skills and demonstrated organizational ability to recruit student-athletes and implement a competitive football program.
3. Ability to quickly build rapport and to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
4. Ability to coach an assigned team position.
