Description: The Graduate Assistant-Compliance is responsible for assisting the Asst. Athletic Director for Compliance with the athletic department operations. This includes, but not limited to, compliance education, monitoring and enforcement for all King University constituencies, i.e. student, athletes, coaches, faculty and staff, alumni and boosters.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and admission to a King University master’s level program; familiarity with Microsoft office operations, especially Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint; strong writing and speaking skills; good reading comprehension skills, and attention to detail. Must support King University’s Mission
Responsibilities: • certifying student-athletes each semester for practice and competition; • preparing, distributing, and collecting prospective student-athlete athletic agreements; • NCAA rules education to student-athletes, athletic staff and other campus constituencies; • monitoring campus visits and tryouts by prospective student-athletes; • report possible Conference Carolinas and/or King University policy violations; • submitting various NCAA reports; • adhere to all NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and King University policies • other duties as assigned by the Asst. AD for Compliance and/or V.P. for Athletics
Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English required
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
