Golf Coach (Men’s and Women’s)

The University seeks a nine-month, part-time Golf Coach (Men’s and Women’s) for its Athletic Department on the Mount Vernon
main campus. The position reports to the Director of Athletics and is available immediately, upon appointment of a successful
candidate.

The University seeks a nine-month, part-time Golf Coach (Men’s and Women’s) for its Athletic Department on the Mount Vernon

Responsibilities for this position include:
Recruiting prospective student-athletes;
Coordinating and supervising all areas of the men’s and women’s golf program;
Planning and directing all phases of the intercollegiate golf program;
Operating the golf program under NAIA and Crossroad League Conference guidelines;
Organizing and conducting team practice sessions and matches;
Managing the men’s and women’s golf budgets;
Scheduling matches with approval from AD;
Supervising assistant coaches;
Spiritual mentoring of students;
Assisting in eligibility certification of team(s);
Managing all other aspects of an intercollege athletic program;
Attending athletic department meetings when available;
Support other athletic events taking place on campus;
Other duties assigned by the Athletic Director.
Coordinating summer camp(s) (if desired);

Expectations for the successful candidate:
Evangelical Christian confession of faith and experience;
Bachelor’s degree required;
Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred;
Experience in effective supervision of student-athletes;
Ability to communicate and work effectively and creatively with students, parents, administrators, faculty and staff;
Detail oriented;
Knowledge of coaching philosophies and implementation within a team;
Experience in Microsoft Office preferred.
