The University of Indianapolis is looking for an energetic and driven Graduate
Assistant to support the creative strategy within the Athletics Department. This
role is central to elevating the brand of UIndy Athletics as well as enhancing the student-athlete experience . Key responsibilities include creating graphic and video content to tell the story of UIndy Athletics and also documenting the game atmosphere. This position will be responsible for advancing the external mission of athletics through creativity, marketing, and communications. Ideal candidates will demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to NCAA Division II values.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Key Responsibilities
● Create graphic and video content to promote events, celebrate success, and enhance the brand of UIndy Athletics.
● Serve as the primary communications contact for assigned sports.
● Assist with game day communications efforts as assigned.
● Supervise and support a team of student workers.
● Activate and fulfill sponsorship creative elements in collaboration with corporate partners.
● Attend games to capture video content and highlight the in-game environment.
● Assist with developing the social media strategy for both departmental and team accounts.
● Support efforts to promote student, faculty, alumni, and the broader community attendance through creative outreach and engagement.
● Work closely within the external team in UIndy Athletics to generate and implement fresh, innovative ideas.

Experience
● Previous experience in athletic administration, marketing, communications, event management, or related fields is preferred.
● Familiarity with collegiate athletics and the NCAA Division II environment is a plus
● Experience in graphic design or video production is preferred
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Acceptance into a UIndy graduate program required
Skills & Abilities:
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, StatCrew, NCAA LiveStats, and/or social media platforms preferred (based on area)
● Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Other Requirements:
● Valid driver’s license
● Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as required
