Job Duties

What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities:

• Works directly with the Head S&C Coach – Olympic Sports to design and implement strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes for assigned sports.
• Conduct regular testing of student-athletes to determine the effectiveness of the programs and provide feedback to the Head S&C Coach – Olympic Sports.
• Maintain accurate records of student-athlete’s progress for student athletes, reporting progress of student-athletes to the Associate S&C Coach/Director of Football Performance and the respective head coach.
• Assist with the scheduling and daily upkeep of strength & conditioning facilities.
• Provide for the proper supervision of student-athletes to ensure that all student-athletes receive proper instruction on the safe usage of weight machines and free weights.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or in Last Semester of bachelor’s degree.

  • Must be accepted into Lamar University Master’s Program (post interview process).

• Currently have or working towards CSCS or SCCC.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to move supplies or equipment over 50lbs.

Certifications Required

• Certification if applicable.
