Job DescriptionÂ
Summary/objective
Serve as head athletic trainer and manage the complete administration of all operations and staff of the medical care services for all Randolph College intercollegiate student-athletes.

Work environment
Frequent weekend and evening hours are required. Serves as a member of the Department of Athletics and reports to the Director of Athletics. Provides supervision and leadership for assistant athletic trainers and Randolph work-study assistant athletic trainers. Supervise and instruct athletic training students and interns from Randolph College, University of Lynchburg, and Liberty University, and other institutions as approved. Must work effectively on a regular basis with members of the faculty and staff members in Athletics, Student Affairs, Health Center and other College offices.

Physical demands
Working environment includes both indoors and outdoors, exposure to various weather conditions, including temperature extremes. Indoor work environment may not be air conditioned during hot weather. Must have the physical ability to walk, lift up to 50 pounds, run, bend, twist, climb, see, hear, and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Travel required
Some travel to/from athletics events, NCAA and/or ODAC meetings, and/or professional development workshops required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION
Minimum qualifications include a bachelorâs degree (masters preferred) in athletic training or sport related field. Possess three to five years of athletic training experience, preferably in a collegiate environment including supervision of staff and student assistants. NATA/BOC certification and eligible for Virginia licensure required. Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification is required and willingness to obtain instructor certification for each is preferred. Employee must have a commitment to the values, standards, and expectations of NCAA Division III athletics, ODAC and a residential, liberal arts college.
