The HSSU Part Time Head Cheer Coach is responsible for assisting in several aspects of developing and organizing the Cheerleading program. This position also requires recruiting, assisting with the coordination of practices, team management, skill development, and instructing student athletes in techniques for peak performance. The position also requires some eligibility knowledge and performs other related duties as assigned by the Head Coach & or appropriate administrator. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to conduct cheer practice, develop cheer routines, have a well-rounded knowledge of cheer skills and should be able to instruct and evaluate student-athletes. This is a stipend position, non-benefitted position.

Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels, outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly. Must have the physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height; and to bend, to stoop, to sit on the floor, to climb stairs, to walk and to reach overhead.
