KEY RESPONSBILITIES

Reporting to the Director Athletics, the head coach will discharge the following responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of a competitive Division III baseball program. This will include scheduling, practice and game coaching, recruiting, budgeting, fundraising, and all travel associated with the baseball program.
Mentor and coach student-athletes and will assist student-athletes in the development of baseball skills and an understanding of strategies necessary to succeed.
Demonstrate a high level of motivation with strong interpersonal skills.
Participate in committees and provide service to the Department, University, and Profession.
Valid state driver's license

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Demonstrated record of successful baseball ability
Demonstrated record of coaching and recruiting in the sport of baseball
Demonstrated willingness and ability, to travel and work a flexible schedule
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and work with student employees
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the needs of diverse faculty, staff, students, and university community
Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues for program growth and enhancement
Possess current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or ability to immediately obtain

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree
Prior experience at the Division III level
Interest in, and commitment to, community engagement

Additional Information:

This is a full-time, 10 month term appointed,position. The start date will be negotiated with the final candidate and be no later than December 1, 2025. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience.
