Head Coach, Cycling

As the cycling head coach, you will be expected to engage in successful community relations within the university community to establish a positive opinion of SCAD and SCAD athletics nationwide. In this position you will train cycling student-athletes; advance their knowledge of the sport; communicate with students, parents, and physicians to determine eligibility; and establish procedures for handling injuries and emergencies. Responsibilities include recruiting cyclists to SCAD and the team, establishing practice and tournament schedules, completing detailed itineraries for tournaments, monitoring mid-term and final grades for each student-athlete, and procuring essential uniforms and gear.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of related experience
• Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills
• Must be well organized and display discipline, honesty, and integrity with ability to handle multiple priorities
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Successful work experience in an academic environment

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
