- An earned BA/BS degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university is required at time of appointment.
- Minimum 3 years of college or high school softball coaching experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Experience with Public Relations, including but not limited to public speaking/appearances and working with booster organizations
- Experience recruiting student-athletes

Preferred Qualifications :
- 5 years or more of college or high school softball coaching experience.

Salary : Dependent on qualifications and experience. Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range. The anticipated full-time salary for this position is $93,960 annually (salary will be prorated to the time base assigned at time of appointment). Cal Poly Humboldt sits on the traditional homelands of the Wiyot people in what is currently called Arcata, CA. The Wiyot people call the area Goudi'ni (over in the woods). The Cal Poly Humboldt campus in Northern California is in close proximity to several thriving Native American tribes and communities. Humboldt currently has the largest percentage of Native American students in the CSU system and has over 30 Native American faculty and staff, many from local area California Indian tribes.
