This position involves frequent verbal, written, and email correspondence with current and prospective students, parents,
faculty and staff.
Develop and implement a successful recruiting/retention plan
Devise a game strategy which includes scouting opponents
Plan and supervise practices/contests and off-season training and strength conditioning programs
Coordinate team travel
Manage the program operating budget
Adhere to and ensure compliance with departmental/College/ National Intercollegiate Rugby Association /NCAA

Integrate the Rugby program into the campus and Adrian community
emerging status Rules and Regulations
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience
Previous collegiate Rugby coaching experience
Proficiency in basic computer skills
Ability to work collaboratively with the coaching staff, student-athletes, and administration.
Must be able to perform duties within the normal bounds of an office environment as well as stand for long
periods of time and must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Must also be able to demonstrate techniques to student
athletes.
Must be a current holder of Safe Sport Certification
The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Desired Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those with: Master’s Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management or
Extensive coaching background in recruitment and knowledge of Adrian College policies and procedures
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills (orally and in writing) as well as a self-starter who is
able to work independently and interpret, apply and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations.
