of-classroom experiences. The Head Women’s Soccer Coach will report to the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management and supervision of athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions,
to promote individual growth in athletic skills, leadership, teamwork, discipline, respect, and
good sportsmanship.

• Supervise the recruitment and scouting process of all prospective women’s soccer athletes.
• Schedule and conduct all practice sessions and matches in conjunction with athletic

administration.

• Collaborate with faculty and key leaders on campus to support the academic success of student-

athletes.

• Oversee assistant coaches, graduate assistant coaches, managers, volunteers, and work-study

students to direct their duties.

• Ensure all women’s soccer coaches work together toward a common goal within the women’s

soccer program and provide unity within the community.

• Manage and maintain all soccer facilities.
• Facilitate fundraising for the team’s budget and facilities.
• The management of budget, supplies, and equipment.
• Organize and oversee travel arrangements.Work in cooperation with the sports medicine or

athletic training staff in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured athletes.
Facilitate collaborative relationships among sport coaches, sports medicine, the strength
and conditioning staff, and other university departments.

• Communicates with parents and the Parent Connections Office on-campus on the success of

students and activities.

• Display a committed effort to understanding and promoting the University’s mission.
• Complete and maintain all necessary office work.
• Recruiting athletically and academically quailed students.
• Retaining students in the program.
• Responsible to understand the expectations of the Athletic Department.
• Provides for the safety of students and coaches, facilities and equipment while conducting

activities, practices, and competitions.

• Regularly attend and participate in department meetings and professional development

opportunities.

• Collaborate with campus constituents to assess, provide and improve student experience

related to the soccer program.

• Understanding the culture of the women’s soccer program, athletic department and the

campus.

• Understanding the NAIA eligibility rules.
• Operate university vehicles.
• Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Three to Five years of experience coaching or playing at the collegiate level.
• Prior recruiting experience.
• Must be able to work under challenging conditions and with others.
• Willing to work late/flexible hours.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work with others and lead.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic

backgrounds, including those with disabilities.

• Understand how to work successfully as a team within all levels of the organization and know

how to contribute to the mission of the university.
