Reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and is responsible for the administration of all phases of the women's soccer program in accordance with NCAA Division I rules and philosophies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Recruiting qualified student-athletes for the program and Stetson University.

• Establishing goals and directions for the operation of the program and developing a successful program athletically and academically.

• Working with the Women’s Soccer team through practice, instruction, conditioning and game competition to ensure the most successful program possible.

• Supervising full and/or part-time assistant coaches including hiring, disciplining, or separation decisions and taking full responsibility for training, mentoring and evaluating assistant coach.

• Training and supervising assistant coach(es) toward the end of developing head coach capabilities and supporting all program objectives.

• Supervising all scheduling and traveling arrangements for the program.

• Assisting in the marketing and fundraising efforts of the program, the athletic department and the University.

• Managing and adhering to a budget to be determined by the Deputy Athletic Director and SWA.

• Overseeing and managing academic performance of team. Organizing and maintaining a summer camp to promote the Women’s Soccer program, yourself and Stetson University Athletics.

• Motivating and inspiring student-athletes to excel in the classroom and on the field; attends functions related to the women’s soccer program; prepares reports; evaluates players.

• Managing a cost-effective and administratively efficient sport program.

• Conforming to the highest standards of professional conduct regarding compliance with department and institutional policies and procedures and adherence to the rules and regulations of Stetson University, the ASUN Conference and the NCAA.

• Performing other duties as may be assigned by the Athletic Director & Deputy Athletic Director and SWA.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated ability to organize and develop world wide recruiting master plan.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, fellow employees; program boosters and the public.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Experience with day-to-day administrative and operational responsibilities of leading and supervising a soccer program, including but not limited to implementation of running and workout programs, budget management, professional development, NCAA rules and regulations, organization skills and supporting the educational goals and ideals of the members of the women’s soccer program.
• Support the University’s Mission and Values in their role.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree.
• Have a good understanding  of NCAA rules and regulation.
• Ability to lead with integrity and positively influence the lives and athletic careers of the student-athletes on the women’s soccer team.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications : 

• Master's degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superb organization skills to effectively manage and lead a women’s soccer program.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University’s auto insurance carrier.

Salary Grade : 7
