ABOUT THIS POSITION 

Summary: This position reports to the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, and is responsible for providing coaching expertise and leadership for the administration of the intercollegiate men's lacrosse program; assisting the head coach in the effective education, management and administration of all aspects relating to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes, while performing other related duties as assigned. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned by the head coach: 

  • Lead the Offensive strategy with the team with the oversight of Head Coach 
  • Daily practice planning and implementation of game plans. 
  • On field skill development focused on individual offensive skills and team schemes. 
  • Perform video analysis and hold group film sessions. 
  • Identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with student-athletes and their families through email, phone and one-on-one meetings. 
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the Athletic Department Support the general goals, values, and vision of the institution and Athletic Department. 
  • Engage in, coordinate and help implement all fund-raising activities for the program in conjunction with the head coach, athletic advancement and its representatives. 
  • Communicate regularly and maintain a positive and constructive working relationship with support staff in sports information, student services, sports medicine, campus recreation, business office, facilities/operations, compliance, athletic advancement and marketing to assist in implementation of an efficient and effective program and department. 
  • Represent the university at professional meetings, alumni gatherings, campus activities, and civic affairs as requested by the head coach or athletic administrators. 
  • Attend and participate in department and staff meetings as requested/required.
