Head Men's Basketball Coach

Coach will report to the Associate VP of Athletics and Student Affairs, the director of Athletics, and the Assistant Director of Athletics Compliance and Student Services; and will be required to follow all NCAA, PSAC, and university rules and regulations. The coach will be responsible for establishing good working relationships and willing to help out with departmental needs. Coach will need to maintain a competitive program and good retention of student-athletes along with continuously bringing in new recruits.
Oversees all aspects of a sports program. Recruits athletes, mentors athletes, fosters athletic, emotional, and academic group of student athletes. Oversees sports equipment, practice plans and schedules, skill development, designs coaching strategies. Oversees public and media relations. Coordinates team travel and schedule. Adheres to all rules and regulations. Oversees assistant coaching staff.
Essential Functions
This position is responsible for all aspects of the Men's Basketball program. This includes: recruitment of quality student-athletes, academic success of team members, conducting practices, game preparation and strategy, scheduling of games, travel management, fundraising, alumni relations of former basketball athletes, budget management, equipment ordering and vender relations, oversight of teams' social media presence, and maintaining compliance with all university, NCAA, and PSAC rules and regulations. They are also responsible for overseeing all assistant coaches and managers within the basketball program.
