Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach / SL-2
Department: Athletics
Salary: $42,500
The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applications for a Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month position beginning in July 2025.
This position is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating all aspects and facets of a successful collegiate lacrosse program.
Prior to final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.

| Job Requirements & Essential Functions of the Job |
- Recruitment of highly skilled and academically qualified student athletes.
- Monitor academic progress and eligibility.
- Effectively analyze and teach the skills and strategies of the sport.
- Planning, organizing conducting, and evaluating practice sessions along with developing, implementing, and evaluating game plans and strategies.
- Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model to the student athletes of the program and prepare a competitive schedule, participate in community and department activities, and fundraising initiatives.
- Oversee the team’s travel coordination and other administrative processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all department, university, and NCAA policies, procedures, and regulations.

| Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s Degree .
- Experience in coaching, instructing, or training in lacrosse.
- Can demonstrate good communication skills.
- Recruitment experience.

- Master’s Degree.
