Head Men's Lacrosse Coach, Part-time

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for the day to day operations and administration of specific sport program.
2. Recruitment and successfully retain lacrosse student-athletes.
3. Regular and timely communication with department staff about program operations and updates.
4. Regular and timely communication with the Notre Dame Admissions Department and attendance at University admissions events.
5. Ensure compliance with all United East and NCAA regulations, as they pertain to lacrosse.
6. Assist in departmental efforts to ensure academic success of student-athletes.
7. Coordinate with operations coordinator to schedule non-conference competition.
8. Manage team budget and conduct fundraising activities.
9. Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge: Bachelor's degree required. Lacrosse playing experience at the collegiate level preferred. General knowledge of NCAA Division III recruiting and eligibility regulations and an understanding of the relationship between a liberal arts education and athletics.

• Experience: 2-3 years coaching experience.
• Skills/Aptitude: Must have good writing and computer skills, proven administrative and management skills, and good interpersonal communication skills. This position requires the employee to possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Working Conditions: Athletics environment. Will involve evening and weekend commitments. This is a part-time, contractual position. Will require periods of standing, sitting or walking. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and the ability to teach and demonstrate lacrosse skills and techniques.
