POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the director of athletics, the head coach is responsible for the organization and management of a competitive NCAA Division III tennis program in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the College, the Athletic Department, NCAA Division III, and the USA South Athletic Conference.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree required, master’s degree preferred. Desired qualifications include collegiate coaching and recruiting experience, demonstrated ability in skill instruction, practice and game plan development, supervisory experience, general administrative skills including budgetary experience, an appreciation and understand of the mission & core attributes of Division III, knowledge of NCAA legislation and a commitment to rules compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Ability to coach & teach the technical, mental, & physical components of tennis. Knowledge of recruiting & ability to attract qualified student-athletes in support of the recruiting objectives of the institution. Ability to host and run USTA tennis events throughout the year.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium work – exerts from 10-25 lbs of force often. Subject to inside and outside conditions, repetitive motors
